Audible Standard lets you pick 1 audiobook a month from Audible's entire collection for $8.99/month after the trial. Your picks stay playable while you're a member; to keep books after you cancel, you need Premium credits.

How to cancel Audible Standard before you're charged
- Sign in at audible.com in a web browser. If you signed up through the Audible website, the Amazon website or the Amazon app, cancel here.
- Hover over your name (top right) and choose Account Details.
- Select Cancel membership, then Continue canceling to confirm (you may be shown offers to stay first).
- If you joined in the Audible app through Apple or Google Play, cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions instead.
- Watch for Audible's confirmation email.
Tips & gotchas
- Standard selections don't roll over. Pick your audiobook before each renewal or that month's pick is lost.
- When you cancel Standard, you lose access to your monthly selections (they show a lock icon). Access returns if you rejoin later. Anything you bought with cash is yours to keep.
- Want books you keep forever? Premium ($14.95/month, also a 30-day trial) gives 1 credit a month for any title. Credit purchases are yours to keep even after you cancel, and Premium also includes the Plus Catalog. Unused credits expire 12 months after they're issued or when you cancel.
- Audible emails you a reminder before the trial ends, and you can cancel any time before then without being charged.
- Limited-time alternative: Audible's "Season's Savings" offer gives Standard for $0.99/month for 3 months, then $8.99/month (the offer is reported to end December 28, 2026).
