How to cancel subscriptions on iPhone, Android and Amazon

If you signed up for a trial inside an app, the app store usually handles the billing, so that's where you cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel it.

iPhone or iPad (Apple)

1. Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
2. Tap Subscriptions.
3. Tap the subscription, then Cancel Free Trial or Cancel Subscription.

Apple asks you to cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. You'll usually keep access until the trial ends.

Android (Google Play)

1. Open the Google Play Store app and tap your profile picture.
2. Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
3. Pick the subscription and tap Cancel subscription.

Amazon (Prime Video Channels, Kindle, Music)

1. Sign in to Amazon and go to Account → Memberships & Subscriptions.
2. Find the subscription (Prime Video Channels are listed separately) and choose Cancel.

Not sure where you signed up?

Search your email for the first receipt. It will come from Apple, Google, Amazon or the service itself, and that's who you cancel with.
